Love you and the caption
“Whatever it takes, whatever you have to do. Just find an excuse to win”
That was one of my favorite quotes from one of the Instructors at BUD/S and for a long time it really got me going but I couldn’t pinpoint exactly how or why.
It’s been really incredible to learn just how applicable that has been. It applies to however you define success, I think. That’s what’s most inspirational about it. “Winning” doesn’t have to necessarily mean literally winning the four mile timed run at BUD/S.
Whether it’s in school getting your degree or its at work, getting that promotion, raising your children, obviously in athletics, anything in life - find an excuse to win, find an excuse to be successful, to succeed at what it is you want. Whatever you have to do or tell yourself or use to motivate yourself, take it to that place. Prove to yourself, “through your mind, that your can push yourself further than you thought possible”
You can literally do, and succeed at any Goddamned thing that you want in life. That’s the most freeing thing I’ve ever learned. Mental toughness.
This needs a few more notes
